I was wondering, for days and days, about what to write on this very first post. You see, I really like to share my thoughts and photos about my life, I love to read people's opinions and receive their energy about something I posted. I decided to start this blog after having my second boy, Thomas, who came 8 years after my first one, Luca. Now, the reason why Thomas took so long to come is a very long story.
Let's start briefly telling about Luca's birth. Luca was that very very wanted baby, and when I found out I was pregnant, I was over the moon. It was a perfect pregnancy, I was 30 years old and enjoyed every second of it. He was born with a c-section as I had a very small amount of fluids and couldn't feel his movements anymore. We were on our 38th week. In Brazil it is not a common thing to induce labour, you either have a section or natural birth. But I can write a whole post on this matter soon.
Well, Luca was then born and the transformation in our lives was like a tsunami. I think I wasn't really aware of how a baby can change a couple's lives and I had different expectations of what it would look like. I had no friends with babies and in my family I hadn't been around too many babies, so not a single clue of what it would be. I had post birth depression, not too strong but it was there, making everything even harder! Luca felt all that of course and it became a hard 'babyhood'. He used to cry a lot and was quite stressed, probably feeding from his parents who where going bonkers.
So, after that the decision was not to have more babies. Luca grew up an amazing boy and I am the most proud mama. He even has his own blog from the day he was born, where I celebrate only the good things. It was a way of fighting against the monsters in my mind.

Eight years have passed, lots of things happened. The major thing of all was to move to England when Luca was 4 year old. We live here since then. Last year, the shocking news: I was pregnant again! "For fuck sake!!! How did that happen???" Well... we all know how it happened. I spent a whole week crying, trying to figure out what to do. We then decided to take all the risks and bring this little life to the world of Trump and Brexit and take our chances. It was a completely different pregnancy which I learned how to love, how to be excited about and how to be prepared for the big challenge. I already knew what to expect and was "readier" than before. But the truth is, we are never really ready for a baby, are we?
So jump in if you like, read and share. I love love love the delights, tragedies and comic moments of motherhood!
