This article on breastfeeding

While tracking the photo I liked so much I came across this lovely article with tips on breastfeeding. Really helpful tips here  http://www.mothermag.com/breastfeeding/  I am sure going to be using a few! ;) Another very cute photo...

What to wear when you are breastfeeding

I think breastfeeding is simple, much easier and all the hassle with bottles, formula making, etc. The milk is there, on the tip of your tits, just plug the baby in and... voila! The hard, very hard thing in my opinion is what to bloody wear to avoid being naked around there showing off your big jelly belly and exposing your whole "source of food"! I am a mum who doesn't feel entirely comfortable with exposing my breastfeeding out there (yes, judge me) and I really like having some privacy, so I am truly struggling with my clothes, I find it quite distressful to think about practical and not finding anything. Specially in England where it is, most likely all the time, windy and cold. So I just wear tops with buttons as I hate lifting up my tops - no one needs to see the tragedy of my floppy belly at the moment. But opening and closing buttons when you have your baby screaming on your lap is something not as simple as it looks like! I also find the special feeding clothe...

Second baby in the house!

First time I was a mum I was pretty shaken by the reality of having a baby changing all my life around, but I had him, only him to take care of, and myself of course, but he was the most important little thing at that moment and I could be all his, all my attention belonged to him. It is already amazing to think of all the nights you spend up taking care of a newborn. When you wake up, daddy is off to work and you are left alone with a basket full of laundry, lunch to be made, house to be cleaned, a baby to be fed and put to sleep, etc etc etc (lots of etc's here mate!) When you have your second child the challenges change. You are already full of skills of how to take care of that lil one, you don't have as many questions such as "why does he spit up so much?" "What is the perfect temperature of the water for a bath?" "What size of diapers to buy?" "Is the bottle super, 100% well sterilised?" - no, you just don't have those anymore...

This Blog...

I was wondering, for days and days, about what to write on this very first post. You see, I really like to share my thoughts and photos about my life, I love to read people's opinions and receive their energy about something I posted. I decided to start this blog after having my second boy, Thomas, who came 8 years after my first one, Luca. Now, the reason why Thomas took so long to come is a very long story. Let's start briefly telling about Luca's birth. Luca was that very very wanted baby, and when I found out I was pregnant, I was over the moon. It was a perfect pregnancy, I was 30 years old and enjoyed every second of it. He was born with a c-section as I had a very small amount of fluids and couldn't feel his movements anymore. We were on our 38th week. In Brazil it is not a common thing to induce labour, you either have a section or natural birth. But I can write a whole post on this matter soon. Well, Luca was then born and the transformation in our lives wa...
